Age-36 5, Mintern Street, Hoxton Kemmel Chateau Military Cemetery, Belgium
On 31st March, 1915, the 1st East Surrey battalion of 14 Brigade, 5th Division moved into the front line trenches at Kemmel in Belgium where they remained until relieved on 4th April. George King was killed here on 1st April when a shell directly hit one of their trenches and then in the evening heavy sniper fire was experienced.
